Puebla, Pue.- En el marco del Día del Abuelo, el gobernador electo de Puebla, Alejandro Armenta, reafirmó su compromiso con los adultos mayores al anunciar importantes proyectos que beneficiarán a este sector de la población. Entre las iniciativas destacadas se encuentra la creación del primer Hospital Geriátrico a nivel nacional, en colaboración con el Sistema Estatal para el Desarrollo Integral de la Familia (SEDIF) y con el apoyo de la federación.
Armenta subrayó que estas acciones son esenciales dado que, para el año 2025, más de un millón de personas en Puebla tendrán 60 años o más, representando una sexta parte de la población. «Es fundamental enfocar las políticas públicas para atender con cariño y respeto a este segmento de la sociedad», señaló el gobernador electo.
Además, anunció la implementación de una Red de Unidades Básicas de Rehabilitación en el estado, diseñada para ayudar a los adultos mayores a recuperar sus capacidades físicas, motrices y auditivas. Estas unidades también ofrecerán atención alimentaria especializada, considerando las necesidades particulares del sistema digestivo en las personas mayores. «Quiero brindar todo esto a las personas mayores en todo el territorio por Amor a Puebla», expresó Armenta.
El gobernador electo también reconoció el trabajo del presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador y destacó la coordinación con la presidenta electa Claudia Sheinbaum, así como con el director del IMSS, Zoé Robledo, para llevar a cabo estos proyectos que también incluyen la creación de una clínica de maternidad para mujeres.
Con estas iniciativas, Alejandro Armenta demuestra su compromiso con un gobierno humanista que pone a los adultos mayores en el centro de sus políticas públicas, garantizando su bienestar y calidad de vida en Puebla.
